As they wander around the corridors, they spot crude demonic glyphs smeared in a dark substance. The floor is littered with clutter and even with the darkness, the acolytes notice a distinctly unnatural filth that seems to cover everything. The interior is unlit and counts as Darkness. The airlock vault in which the acolytes are trapped will not reopen until the door through which they entered has been resealed (the side of the door inside the satellite reads “EMERGENCY ONLY.” The radius of the satellite is approximately 15m, and inside, the ceilings are just high enough for a full-grown man to stand up. Upon entering the ancient satellite, the acolytes will notice its centuries of neglect and outdated interior-and its zero gravity. Objective 2: Locate and kill the heretical cultist (150xp) The acolytes will start in either of the Southern quadrants-if the players try to enter through the northern doors on the outside, claim that they are immovably jammed. Which may or may not be as easy as it sounds… Acolytes will depart from the Pusillus 226 in their Space Activity Suits, and must successfully float to the satellite, find an entrance, and breech it. Objective 1: Successfully breech the cultist satellite (50xp) 6 Space Activity Suits (covers whole body 1 AP 2kg) 1 30m strand of industrial-strength tether wire Note: intimidating and/or bribing the Adept could have very negative consequences in the future, especially with regards to the acolytes' employment in the Imperium and their importance as acolytes to their Inquisitor. While most of the items on the ship are freely available to the acolytes, Adept Triano Caliban has a “secret stash” that requires either a successful Search Test or a successful Intimidation/Bribe Test (both at a -20 penalty). Acolytes may also check the ship’s other supplies, tools, and kits. A Scholastic Lore (Cryptology) (Int) Test can be made at a -10 penalty in order to find out specific information regarding the satellite ( see Picture 1.1 below). Because Triano Caliban is unsure of the nature of the plague on the surface of Sacris, he has provided the acolytes with Re-breathers for this investigation.īefore the acolytes arrive at the satellite, they may check the ship’s accessible catalogue to old Imperial records of satellites orbiting Sacris. No one knows what other dangers could await in the satellite, or in the other surrounding clusters of space debris and ancient orbital artifacts. The ancient satellite appears to be part of Sacris’ surface surveillance and orbital defense system, but has apparently been apprehended by cultists in its countless years of neglect. Though it was once the birthplace of the Storm Warden Chapter of Space Marines, they have long since disappeared along with the rest of what is known about the surface and inhabitants of Sacris. During the Nemesis Incident of 945.M36, the planet was quarantined and abandoned because of a virulent plague that has been ravaging the planet’s surface ever since. The Adept reveals the source of the transmission to be an ancient satellite orbiting the forbidden world of Sacris. He now believes that he has found the true source of the heretical preaching and wants the team to investigate its source and put an end to the cultist propaganda. Triano Caliban explains that the transmissions had been jumbled by the warp and their initial location was merely a diversion. By the request of Inquisitor Lexon Octavian, they were investigating strange radio transmissions expelling heretical propaganda and had fallen into a perilous ambush when trying to locate the source of the transmissions. Triano Caliban explains that the crew of acolytes were extracted from a dangerous and uncharted section just outside the Calixis Sector-where pirates and smugglers defile the great name of the Imperium. Prolonged exposure to the chemicals that kept the acolytes in stasis has temporarily hinder their memories (though this effect is to be expected when coming out of stasis). The acolytes are awakened from stasis aboard the Pusillus 226 and are debriefed by Adept Triano Caliban as the ship comes out of hyperspace. I'm relatively new to the d100 universe, but not the Warhammer 40k universe. I've been a lurker of this site for a while now and I've finally joined with the hopes that you would be able to give me some constructive criticism in regards to this DH campaign I've been working on.
